PC System Requirements and Recommendations
Thin Client PCs and Apple iPads , SIMS 2000 works great!

What Are Thin Clients?
Thin-client PCs are low cost simple graphics-based desktop terminals that access and run hosted applications and data centrally from a server Because no applications or data actually reside on the desktop, it is "thin" when compared with the traditional PC. Prices start as low as $299

Apple iPads - HUTs & CLTS
Safari browser, For Home Use Testers HUTs, or CLTs, Apple iPads can employ the embedded Safari browser with our optional online SensoryTest.com service.

These are "platform independent" solutions which will work on all brands and variety of devices, such as Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Motorola Xoom Android, smartphones, etc.

      Reality check, iPads vs PCs
For your In-house Sensory Panel booths, and corporate environments, iPads are best used as a thin client PC, real desktop served up by the popular virtual desktop solutions. iPads are not really personal computer PCs, in reality they are closer to an iPhone telephone. It is not possible to install SIMS software directly on an iPad. Just like the fact that it not possible to install 99+% of any real MS PC software natively on an IOS system like an iPad. Same as any popular PC applications, such as Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Excel, Outlook email, Adobe, Intuit, etc, none of these real PC software products/suites will work on iPad. The iPad is closer to smart telephone. It is what it is. For us, and for many/most inside corporate uses, the iPad is best suited as a simple thin client workstation with a real desktop served up by the popular virtual desktop solutions.

Our recommendation would start with the question: Do you really need iPads? Other great more reliable tablet style PCs exist, which are better and less expensive, such as the Dell Mini Notebooks, which would really be less effort for you and your staff, now and every day moving forward.

Offsite CLTs as another topic include many various possibilities. See the SIMS 2000 Locations Matrix shown here midway down the page, three separate rows discuss various CLTs.
