    QUESTIONNAIRE PIPING QUESTION RESPONSES EXAMPLES

Piping gives you the powerful ability to swap in the panelist's previously asked Attribute response.

TAG: <PIPE {Attribute Data Export Label}> Note: Don't include the {}, just the Export Label. See more notes and examples below.

    Piping Panelist Example:

This example uses SIMS open ended Comments and Piping Tag'ed Hedonics for a questionnaire employing Van Westendorp's Price Sensitivity Meter.

   *** PIPE - Notes ***
   --------------------------

TAG: <PIPE {Attribute Data Export Label}> PLEASE use your real Attribute's Data Export Label in the <PIPE Tag.

Note: Don't include the {}, just the Export Label.

This will swap in the panelist's previously asked Attribute response which matches the {Attribute Data Export Label}.

Example: Please tell us why you responded <PIPE Overall Liking> for Overall Liking?
Displays: Please tell us why you responded Like Extremely for Overall Liking?

Another example, your hedonic attribute's data export label is: favorite dessert
            What is your favorite dessert? ( ) Ice Cream ( ) Cake ( ) Pie ( ) Fruit
Question later: When thinking about the <PIPE favorite dessert> dessert, what is your favorite characteristic?

Another example, using open ended Comments and Van Westendorp's Price Sensitivity Meter:
At what price would you consider the product to be a bargain-a great buy for the money? (Cheap/Good Value) __________?
At what price would you consider the product to be so expensive that you would not consider buying it? (Too expensive) _________?
Question later: At a price between <PIPE Cheap/Good Value> and <PIPE Too expensive>, how likely are you
to buy this product in the next six months if available in your local grocery store?

For Piping from a grouped intensity attribute
Use same PIPE TAG format, plus semi-colon usage: <PIPE {GI Attribute Data Export Label;GI Choice Label}>
Example: Of the <PIPE {Purchase Frequency;Hot Coffee}> cups of coffee you purchase...
It is important to place the ; semi-colon neatly between Label;Label. No extra spaces in there, just the ; semi-colon.

For Piping from a ranking attribute
The PIPE TAG will return the Blinding Code of the #1 Ranked Sample.
Example: Please select from the list of reasons below why you preferred <PIPE Rank Overall> sample.
Displays: Please select from the list of reasons below why you preferred 135 sample.

Note: Supported Attributes type are Hedonics, Line Scales, Yes/No, Grouped Intensity, Ranking and open ended Comments.
Note: The Tag contents is not case sensitive.
